About wallets

A crypto wallet gives you access to the blockchain system and is where you store assets as pieces of data.

At Swyftx, we have a wallet integrated with your account for all crypto assets listed on our platform.

Wallet security

We take the security of our platform very seriously. We use a wide range of security practices, including:

  • using JWT tokens & session expiry;

  • offering 2FA account protection;

  • checking for breached passwords on other websites;

  • consulting with third-party security auditors;

  • undergoing external penetration testing; and

  • implementing a least privileges security model internally.

We store your assets in a mix of cold and hot storage to protect your assets.

Cold storage is a hardware wallet and isn't connected to the internet.

External wallets

You can also use an external wallet to store your assets.

We recommend storing assets in an offline wallet to increase your asset security—for example, Ledger Nano S or Ledger Nano X.

They are available to buy from our shop.

Paper wallets

A paper wallet is a QR code printed on a piece of paper.

The digital wallet's alphanumeric key is generated instantly when the QR code is scanned and uploaded.

Mobile wallets

Mobile wallets are apps on your smartphone.

This wallet makes it easy to use crypto for small purchases of everyday goods.

Web wallets

A web wallet is held online by a third party with a private key.

This mode of storage offers flexibility. But it leaves your private key in the control of someone else.
