Whether you've lost your phone or upgraded to a new one, there are multiple ways that you can reset your 2FA on your Swyftx account. However, for the sake of account security, you will still need to have access to your sim card or recovery codes.
If you still have the same phone number:
If you have still have access to your sim card and, have the same mobile phone number that you used to sign up with, you will be able remove your authentication by navigating to the Profile Tab > About > Security > Remove 2FA.
After clicking the Remove 2FA button you will be greeted with a popup that prompts you to enter a reset code that is sent to your mobile phone after pressing the Send SMS button.
Once this code is entered, you will be automatically logged out and you can setup your 2FA again on your new device. If you've forgotten how to do this, please read here: How to enable 2FA on your account
You will also be able to reset your 2FA on the login page by clicking the Lost Authenticator button when prompted to enter your authenticator code.
Upon clicking this, you will prompted to enter a SMS pin that will be sent to your phone number used to sign up your Swyftx account.
Once this code is entered, you will be automatically logged out and you can setup your 2FA again on your new device. If you've forgotten how to do this, please read here: How to enable 2FA on your account.
If you don't have access to your mobile phone number:
If you have lost access to your phone number for whatever reason, you will still be able to remove the 2FA on your account provided you have access to your 2FA recovery codes.
Upon logging in and being prompted to enter your 2FA code, you will be able to press the Use Recovery Code button to enter your recovery code that you should've written down when initially setting up your 2FA.
Once entered, you will be logged into your account and given a new recovery code.
If you would like, you will be able to log in every time utilising this recovery code every time.
